Using this website
These terms apply to your use of the H.E.R. Housing Network website and requests submitted through it. Read them together with the Privacy Policy and any terms provided for a specific service or purchase. If you disagree with these terms, do not use the website to submit requests or place orders. These terms do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
What H.E.R. provides
H.E.R. Housing Network provides housing navigation, client coaching, education, document-readiness support, resource information, and referrals. Assistance may include understanding application steps and communicating with housing professionals. H.E.R. does not issue government vouchers or benefits, make government eligibility decisions, or guarantee an apartment, approval, funding, or a particular outcome. Agencies, landlords, and other providers make their own decisions.
Professional advice and emergencies
Website information is general guidance. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney, medical professional, financial adviser, or an authorized benefits agency. Legal Bridge Advocacy NYC provides advocacy and support; it is not a law firm. A referral does not create an attorney-client relationship. This website and email inbox are not emergency services. For immediate danger in the United States, call 911.
Your responsibilities
Provide truthful and current information, keep copies of important documents, meet deadlines set by agencies or providers, and review an application before submitting it. You remain responsible for decisions, agreements, and applications you make. Obtain permission before providing information about another person. A parent, guardian, or authorized adult should manage inquiries involving children.
Respectful and lawful use
Do not use the website for harassment, discrimination, threats, impersonation, fraud, unlawful content, unauthorized access, malicious software, or interference with forms or website operation. Do not collect other visitors’ information or submit records you have no right to share. Access or support may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect safety, or comply with law.
Requests, scheduling, and service availability
Submitting a form is a request for contact, not confirmation of an appointment, membership, housing placement, or paid service. Availability and the scope of assistance depend on your request and the relevant program or provider. Confirm any appointment, fee, required documents, and service terms before making arrangements or paying. H.E.R. may update resources and services as circumstances change.
Purchases, contributions, and external sellers
Any item or paid service offered must be reviewed with its description, price, applicable charges, and checkout terms before purchase. The Shipping Policy and Return & Exchange Policy explain the treatment of physical goods and distinguish them from services or contributions. When you purchase on an external website, the named seller’s terms apply. A contribution does not purchase housing priority or guarantee a service or outcome; no tax-deductibility claim is made by these terms.
Privacy and submitted materials
The Privacy Policy explains the handling of inquiries and records. Submit only information necessary for assistance. Providing an inquiry or supporting document allows it to be used to respond to the request; it does not authorize publication of your private records, photograph, or testimonial. Do not send confidential third-party documents without authority.
Content and third-party resources
H.E.R. content and branding are subject to the Copyright & Trademark page. Links and referrals are offered for convenience. External organizations have their own eligibility rules, charges, privacy practices, and terms. Verify current requirements directly with the organization; a link is not a guarantee of its services or an endorsement of every statement it makes.
Accuracy, interruptions, and responsibility
Housing programs, deadlines, and availability can change. We seek to provide helpful information, but errors and interruptions may occur. Confirm time-sensitive requirements with the responsible agency or provider. To the extent permitted by law, H.E.R. is not responsible for decisions made by independent landlords, agencies, or service providers, or outcomes beyond its control. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Questions, disputes, and changes
Contact Support@HerHousingNetwork.Org with a concern, identifying the page or service and the resolution you seek. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive documents. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your right to seek a remedy available under applicable law. Changes will be posted with a revised effective date and apply prospectively; they do not retrospectively change an already agreed purchase.
