H.E.R. HOUSING NETWORK · HELP EVERYONE RISE
Accessibility Statement
Effective October 5, 2026
Our commitment
H.E.R. Housing Network seeks to make housing information and support accessible to people with disabilities. We want visitors to be able to read resources, navigate pages, and request assistance using the technology and communication method that works for them. Accessibility feedback helps us identify and address barriers.
Accessibility goal and current status
Our accessibility goal is to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as we improve the website. This is a goal, not a claim that every page or third-party feature has been independently audited or meets every criterion. Older content, images containing text, documents, embedded features, and external websites may present barriers.
Using the website
The policy pages use clear headings, readable text, responsive layouts, and labeled links. You can enlarge text using your browser’s zoom controls. Keyboard users can use Tab and Shift+Tab to move among links and form controls and Enter to activate a link; the site includes a skip-to-main-content link. Link focus should be visible. If a control cannot be reached or understood with your assistive technology, please tell us which page and control caused difficulty.
Request an accessible alternative
If you cannot use a page, read a document or image, or complete an intake form, email Support@HerHousingNetwork.Org. Ask for the information in a usable format or for assistance with the relevant step. Describe the resource you need and your preferred contact method. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or send medical records to report a website barrier.
What to include in feedback
Include the page address, a description of the barrier, and the task you were trying to complete. If you wish, include your browser, device, or assistive technology and a format that would help. Share only the information necessary to explain the problem. Avoid including private housing records in an accessibility report.
How we handle requests
We will review accessibility feedback, work to provide an appropriate way to access the requested information, and use reports to guide improvements. The solution may depend on the feature and whether a third-party provider controls it. We do not promise a fixed resolution deadline; if your request is time-sensitive, explain the deadline and ask support about an available alternative. Housing application deadlines remain the responsibility of the issuing agency or provider.
Third-party services and ongoing improvements
Webador, embedded content, linked resources, and external application systems may have accessibility features or limitations outside H.E.R.’s direct control. We can help identify an alternative contact or resource where available, but cannot certify another organization’s website. We welcome reports about navigation, contrast, forms, document readability, keyboard access, or mobile display and will consider them as the website is maintained.
